Plenty of freelancers still email a PDF, and the client has to download it, open their banking app separately, and transfer manually — with no way for you to know if they've even opened it, let alone paid. MANA's public document links fix that: one click, the document and its PromptPay QR on the same page, payable instantly, no account needed.
What a public document link is
Every quotation, invoice, and receipt in MANA gets its own public link, viewable in any browser with no login. The page itself is private, no-store, noindex — it's never cached or indexed by search engines, and access is rate-limited to stop anyone from guessing at URLs.
Creating and sending one
- Open the document you want to send from the Documents view.
- Share the link from the document's action menu — MANA generates the public URL automatically.
- Copy it into a chat or email, or send it straight from inside MANA.
- If the document has PromptPay set up, the client sees the QR code right alongside the document — no separate request for your account number.
What the client sees
They open the link and see the full document — amount, line items, and a QR to pay — with nothing to install and no account to create. Works the same on a phone or a laptop.
The link behaves differently depending on the document type:
- Quotations stay live only until the validUntilDate you set, then the link stops working. Useful for putting a real deadline on a decision.
- Invoices and receipts stay live indefinitely, until you revoke the link or rotate in a new one from the document menu yourself.
Tracking it on your end
When a client pays through the QR tied to a document, matching that payment against your imported bank transactions in MANA takes no manual slip-checking. You know which invoice cleared and which is still outstanding without asking the client again.
Things to watch
- Draft or deleted documents never appear behind a public link — you can't accidentally send something that isn't ready.
- Revoke or rotate the link immediately if it went to the wrong person, or you suspect it leaked somewhere it shouldn't have. The old link stops working the moment you do.
- An expired quotation link won't come back on its own — issue a new quotation or extend the expiry date if the client needs to see it again.
That's the whole flow: no attachments, no separate banking app, one link the client opens and pays from in a single page.
