What the AI assistant actually does
Instead of clicking through several menus to check this month's profit, which invoices are overdue, or which project is about to slip, MANA has a chat interface that answers in plain language — pulling real data from your accounting, projects, contacts, and document library — and can even take action for you, like logging an expense or adding a contact.
Getting started
- Open Chat from the main menu.
- Tap the cookbook button (the book icon) for a list of ready-to-use example prompts, grouped by category: Finance / Invoices & Documents / Projects & Tasks / Contacts / Template Library / Storage / General Assistant.
- Or just type your own question — the cookbook prompts are shortcuts, not a requirement.
- Every conversation is saved in the sidebar, so you can reopen it and keep asking follow-ups later.
Prompts you can actually use, by task
Check your finances without opening a spreadsheet
- "Summarize this month's finances"
- "How much revenue this quarter?"
- "Estimate this year's tax"
- "Which project is the most profitable?"
- "Log a new expense" — give the amount and category and the assistant records it directly.
Chase invoices and follow up
- "Show unpaid invoices"
- "Which invoices are overdue?"
- "Send a payment reminder for the oldest overdue invoice" — the assistant drafts the reminder email on the spot.
- "Which clients still owe money?"
Stay on top of projects
- "What's due this week?"
- "Show overdue tasks"
- "Break this big task into smaller steps"
Manage client relationships
- "Who haven't I contacted in a while?" — surfaces clients that have gone quiet.
- "Draft a message to check in with a client"
Weekly overview and admin
- "Give me a weekly digest"
- "Summarize the whole business for me"
- "Help me draft an email"
Getting more out of it
- Keep asking in the same thread — after a financial summary, follow up with "and the month before that?" and the assistant keeps the context.
- Run the invoice-chasing prompts every Monday morning instead of opening the invoice table manually — it's faster.
- Let the assistant draft reminder emails or check-in messages first, then edit the tone to sound like you before sending.
One thing to watch
The assistant summarizes and drafts fast, but for anything that matters — tax figures, final invoice totals — open the actual record and double-check before you act on it or send it to a client or accountant, especially close to a tax deadline or month-end close.
